Relevant experience: Amino Move
Our engineers contributed to the Amino Move mobile app alongside its wider product team. The published project account covers feature development, performance and stability work on a fitness and movement product with personalized programs and workout media.
This was an engineering contribution within an existing team. It informs how we discuss fitness workflows; it is not presented as a complete product built solely by dedev.

Start with the workout your member needs to complete
A trainer with an established program needs a different first release from a marketplace matching clients with coaches. We start by mapping one journey: find the right plan, open today's session, follow the exercises, and record completion. That gives design and development a concrete scope.
- Programs and sessions: organize a training plan into weeks, days and exercises; agree how members enter or change a plan.
- Workout media: define demonstration clips, instructions, audio cues and playback controls, including the behavior on poor connections.
- Progress: choose the useful records, such as completed sessions, sets or repetitions. Avoid collecting data that has no purpose in the member experience.
- Content administration: give your staff an agreed way to publish exercises and update programs without requiring an app release for every change.
These are scope options for your proposal, not a package in which every feature is automatically included. You supply or commission the training content; we agree who prepares videos, captions, exercise descriptions and content imports.
A practical first-release example
Illustrative scope, not a client result or fixed quote: one training brand, one member role, email sign-in, a small program library, exercise videos, session completion and a basic content dashboard.
Coach messaging, a public community, nutrition tracking, wearable data and multi-trainer payouts can be evaluated as later milestones. If paid access is essential at launch, we scope the purchase, restore and access-expiry flows from the start. Subscription administration adds work beyond a payment button.
Offline viewing also needs a specific decision: save instructions, download videos, or record workouts while disconnected? Those choices change storage, media delivery and synchronization work. We test the behavior agreed for your release.
What determines fitness app development cost?
Our focused mobile MVP packages start at $5,000, with published tiers of $5,000, $8,000 and from $12,000. A fitness app must be scoped before we can confirm whether it fits a tier. A larger product receives a tailored proposal.
- The number of member, coach and administrator workflows.
- Video hosting, downloads, content preparation and the size of the media library.
- Existing membership APIs, paid access, migration and support tools.
- Selected platforms, device coverage and offline requirements.
Budget separately for content production, hosting, third-party services and ongoing operation. Our app development cost guide explains a first-year budget; the feature calculator provides a standalone initial estimate.
How we get from brief to release
- Agree the product: review your program, audience, content and business model; choose release scope and exclusions.
- Review the member journey: approve designs for finding a workout, using it and saving progress before implementation.
- Build and review: check working increments, content tools and integration behavior against agreed acceptance criteria.
- Test and hand over: test the agreed device and network scenarios, submit to the selected stores and provide source-code handover under your agreement.
See our delivery process or the broader mobile app development service for a product that needs several releases.
Questions to settle before a proposal
Can we start with our existing videos and membership system?
Yes, we can evaluate that approach. Share sample media and API documentation so we can assess playback, permissions and member access. Compatibility is confirmed during scoping.
Do we need both iOS and Android at launch?
Use your audience and budget to decide. We can scope one or both; a shared implementation still needs testing and store submission for each selected platform.
Can wearable connections or health features be included?
Bring the exact device, data and intended use to discovery. These require separate feasibility and scope decisions. The Amino Move account does not establish wearable integration or clinical product experience.
